Your video files never leave your computer. We collect only what is necessary to provide the service (your email address for licensing). We do not sell your data, track your viewing, or use your subtitles for AI training.

When you use PRO cloud translation, subtitle text is sent over an encrypted connection to our server, which forwards it to Google Gemini for translation. The translated text is returned immediately to your app. We do not log, store, or analyse the subtitle content. Google's use of data is governed by their Privacy Policy.
All payments are processed by Paddle.com. Paddle is the legal seller (Merchant of Record) and handles your card details, invoices, VAT, refunds, and subscription management. We receive only your email address and the plan you purchased. See Paddle's Privacy Policy.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except:
Your email and licence record are kept for as long as your account is active, and for up to 3 years after cancellation for legal and accounting purposes. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 8).
You have the right to: access the data we hold about you, correct inaccuracies, request deletion ("right to be forgotten"), object to processing, and request a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email info@getsubplayer.app. We will respond within 30 days.
The SubPlayer website (getsubplayer.app) does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers. No cookie consent banner is shown because no consent-requiring cookies are set.
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Licence keys use Ed25519 cryptographic signatures. Supabase applies row-level security — no one can read another user's data.
SubPlayer is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We will post changes on this page and, for material changes, notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
