SubPlayer is a Windows desktop application that adds subtitles in your language while you watch movies. It translates existing subtitle files or generates subtitles from audio. Audio transcription runs on your own computer; cloud translation is included in the paid subscription. There is a free trial; the paid subscription requires a card.
The subscription is billed monthly or annually in advance, automatically renews, and can be cancelled at any time. Prices displayed at checkout are final and include any applicable VAT (handled by Paddle). "Founder" promotional pricing, while offered, is locked for the subscriber for as long as their subscription remains active without interruption.
The subscription includes cloud translation up to approximately 40 movies per month. This limit exists to keep the service affordable for everyone and to prevent resale or abuse.
We will not suspend your account without warning. If you approach the limit, we will notify you first.
Your subscription grants a personal, non-transferable licence to use SubPlayer for as long as the subscription is active. Software updates are included at no extra charge. We reserve the right to change features with reasonable notice; if a change materially reduces the service you paid for, you may cancel for a pro-rated refund.
Your video file and audio stay on your computer for playback and transcription. When cloud translation is used, subtitle text is transmitted to SubPlayer's server and translation provider. SubPlayer does not intentionally store subtitle content in its application database; provider-side temporary logging may apply under the provider's terms. See our full Privacy Policy.
SubPlayer is intended for watching media you have the right to watch - your own files, legally obtained content, language learning, or accessibility purposes. You are responsible for your use. Reselling or redistributing the service is not permitted.
The software is provided "as is". We are not liable for indirect or incidental damages. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights under applicable EU law.
These terms are governed by the laws of Lithuania (EU). Any disputes will be resolved in Lithuanian courts, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer under your local law.
